Mason Scott Isaacson - my nephew is here!!!

Janelle delivered a healthy baby boy today at 3:10pm Mountain Standard Time. Little Mason was 7lbs/2oz and 20 inches long. He has a head full of Janelle's dark thick hair, a cute button nose and his daddy's hands. She says "he's SOO precious!"
I just happen to call my dad's cell phone today to get an update on the labor process and Janelle was right in the middle of pushing!! She actually got on the phone with me to say hi and that she was in the middle of delivery and then she grunted a loud PUSH...I said, "well, I'll let you get back to what your doing!" Since I am the farthest from home, that was exciting for me to hear her on the other end of the phone in labor. I love my sister and I miss my family - especially right now when there is a new member to love on!
I can't wait to meet this little man and give him kisses from his Aunt Hime!!! Congrats Janelle and Kent on your new little family!

Almost an AUNT again!!!!

My BABY sister is having a BABY! I am so excited! Janelle is in labor and my new little nephew should be joining our family sometime today - we hope! Janelle woke me up early this morning to let me know that she was on her way to the hospital and her contractions were just minutes apart! I can't wait to meet little Mason!!

MYRTLE BEACH

We had a BLAST on our family vacation to Myrtle Beach last week. We were gone Sunday to Sunday and while it is good to be back in our own bed at night - we really wished we could have stayed longer!!
We stayed at the Wyndham Sea Watch Plantation Resort located in the North Myrtle Beach area. We were on the 19th floor in the North Tower-the only floor above us was the Pent House - and we had a SPECTACULAR view of the Atlantic Coast. Once down the elevator and through the pool area, we set foot on the sandy beaches and into the salty air! It was great!
We ATE and ATE and ATE so much good food and we had MANY sandy diapers to change throughout the day. Evelyn LOVED the beach, the sand, the pools...but most of all, she loved the hot tubs with bubbles! She could have spent all day hopping from one hot tub to the next.

ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW OF OUR TRIP!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

September 22nd - Today we celebrate our 7th Anniversary!

I thought that it would be appropriate, since today is the 7th year that we have been blissfully married to each other, to share 7 reasons why our relationship has thrived and why it will continue to only get better in the future.

1. We are friends - BEST FRIENDS in fact! We LOVE spending time with each other, snuggling on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, walking down the street holding hands, staying up late just to pillow talk...mmmm.

2. We can't imagine life without the other - and we don't like to.

3. We share the work - both around the house and with parenting. Gordon is the best helper and daddy in the world!

4. We accept each other's weaknesses - "WONDER-HUBBY" can push all the wrong buttons at times, and I am sure I must have some faults - but we accept and love each other and we grow and learn together.

5. We are honest with each other - we try our best to communicate and not store up little annoyances that can cause problems later.

6. We have been through times I thought we would not survive - Financial troubles, communication issues, family/in-law problems...you name it, we've been through it! But through it all, we've worked through them successfully together and we are stronger and closer because of all of the challenges we have faced.

7. We share the same values and beliefs - We both have very strong testimonies of our faith and we depend heavily on that link we share in the Gospel. We know that the tougher the challenge is to get through - the greater the reward and blessing is on the other end if we remain true and faithful to the each other and the Lord. Our Heavenly Father has blessed our marriage in countless ways and we are more 'together', more 'in love', more 'head over heels' for each other today than we were when we first met because we have built our relationship and our marriage around the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Happy Anniversary to us!!!

Lindsays on Labor Day = CRAZY!!!

It wouldn't be Labor Day without Musical Chairs and Kickball at Peter's house. We had a great time with family and friends on Labor Day. This year (since many of us have children that NAP in the afternoon) we decided to make it a brunch picinic instead of the traditional lunch/BBQ. It was perfect. We had yummy pancakes and waffles, fried potatoes, danishes, eggs, bacon, desserts...YUM! And then after we ate and played hard - we went home and crashed for a nice afternoon nap.

MUSICAL CHAIRS W/DAD!
...and then there were three...

...and then there were two...

Evelyn WINS - YAY!
What a great day!

Our House Lot

Kind of boring - pictures of land - but it's OUR LAND! This is the spot where our house will be built! YEAH!!!!

Mommy and Evelyn inspecting the grounds - LOOKS GOOD!

Evelyn is probably standing where the garage will be. We love that the front of the house faces a natural area. I need to get some front porch rockers - after all - we are in the SOUTH!

UNDER CONTRACT!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO!
