FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

Ok, so I have had quite the morning!!! I thought it would be fun to make a big breakfast for Evelyn - you know with bacon and eggs and toast - the yummy stuff! So I start the bacon in the frying pan and after a few moments of frying, the bacon was smelling yummy and it was frying so nicely in its oil and grease...then there was a little spark at the base of the pan. I was like WHOA! What was that? Then like a milisecond later, the pan and my arm was engulfed in flames!! I had a major grease fire on my stove top!! - but did I panic? Not at all!! I grabbed a towell for my arm and a lid for the flames. I moved the pan to the back of the stove and turned the burner off and in a matter of seconds the flames were gone and I was able to recollect my thoughts and calm down. I thought for sure my kitchen was going to catch on fire! I ran my arm under cold water - thankfully, I am not injured. The bacon, however, did not survive and sadly, neither did my frying pan. Then I turn around to look at Evelyn through a heavy smoke filled kitchen and she is just staring at me like - "You crazy lady. You just burned my breakfast!" Oh well, we did have scrambled eggs and toast and we ate outside to get out of the smoky fumes.

At least, now I have an excuse to go shopping for a new frying pan. I didn't like that one anyway!

Blogging

After a long, drawn out, decision making process...I have finally decided to join the world of blogging! It was easy to get started, but decorating my page has been quite the ordeal! ENOUGH! I am just going to be happy with it and quit tinkering with margins and backgrounds! I hope you like it and enjoy reading about our life's adventures!

Mohawk Baby

Evelyn LOVES bath time and I have to say, it is one of my favorite times of the day as well. She would stay in the tub for hours if I let her. The highlight to bath time is the shampoo mohawk she gets when washing her long blond hair. She is adorable - even with a mohawk!!
