Missing Technology!

I miss having a computer around to play on whenever I want! Gordon brought home his lap top tonight and so here I am!!! We've decided to get me a lap top to replace the old computer. It has been ordered and it should be here by the end of the week. I am so pumped! It will be so nice to have a lap top and to be wireless around the girls.
We are still looking into the "computer doctors" to see if we can find a decently priced company to perform surgery on our dead computer to retrieve everything. It's going to be a hefty price to pay to get all of our lost data back. Oh man!

Special Visit Soon...
I do have something to look forward to though - my mommacita is coming! She's so fun and I can't wait to have her! She has only seen the house in the construction phase - so it will be awesome to have her stay with us in our new house! She isn't coming until after my birthday - which is March 6th BTW - but until then I am counting down until she gets here!! I can't wait to see you mom!!!

Church Blooper...
I finally received a calling in our new ward - CTR 8 teacher. I love it. This last Sunday was week 3 and I have the best class!! They are so smart and hilarious. Kids say the funniest things and I laugh out loud every Sunday in primary when one of the little ones answers a question. Here's a recent funny from our primary -
Primary leader was asking the kids about who Jesus and Heavenly Father were and then she asked them who Satan was. One of the kids in my class raised his hand and she called on him and he said "well, he's pretty much the Devil." I laughed and thought - yup, pretty much!

Constantly Reminded...
At how much I am so in love with my husband! He came home to me tonight with a little something extra - a dozen gorgeous roses! They are so big and beautiful. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing husband that loves me! The roses are just icing on the cake because he does so much for me already! I am so lucky and he is...as Mary Poppins would say it..."practically perfect in every way". Thank you babe for the flowers and showering me with your love daily!

CRASH!

My computer crashed. End of story. End of electronic journals. End of photographs taken from the last 8 years of my life - my love, my kids and their births, my trips and vacations, my family, my house...etc~End of it all. All of it...LOST. So sad.
So, if you are wondering where my posts are -- or if you have emailed me and wondered why I haven't responded -- it's because there is now this void on top of my desk. This empty spot that is now collecting dust. Until the old and dead can be salvaged or replaced, I am not sure when I can post again.
-------------
Note to all - back up your files. This can happen to anyone - even me - though I thought it never could have, never would have and it really never should have. Oh why did this happen and why was I not smart enough to back up so many important files???
-------------
So sad.

It's about time!!

I read the Twilight series last summer - yes I am a Twilight fan. And the movie came out in November - but I had just had Claire and my life was adjusting to two kids, it was the around the holidays and then we moved...so I NEVER got around to getting to the theater to see the moive - UNTIL TONIGHT!!!!!

Loved it and now I am Vampire hungry again. Time to cuddle up with my favorite Edward, uh, I mean pillow, and start reading the books all over again!

hhhhmmmmmm (long sigh)

Two going on Twenty!!

Happy Birthday Evelyn!

We have had such a fun day! We woke up and started the morning off with a nice warm bubble bath. Then we got dressed for the day and did Evelyn's hair all pretty in pig-tails. Then mommy painted Evelyn's finger nails and toe nails...so pretty! Then it was breakfast time and mommy made the birthday girl pancakes topped with bananas (Evelyn's favorite fruit)! YUM! After breakfast we had music time and learning time with our shapes. Evelyn has a puzzle with about 10 different shapes and she can do the whole puzzle all by herself! She recognizes all the shapes, but can only name a few - circle, triangle, square, star, and heart.

After some neurological stimulation, we had a mini photo shoot with Claire (adorable). Then we headed out to play for the day and later we met up with daddy for lunch at Evelyn's favorite place - Chick-fil-A. She played hard in the jungle gym which made her extremely exhausted - which was just perfect for a long afternoon birthday nap.

After naptime, daddy came home from work early and we had birthday dinner together. After dinner - it was time to open presents!!! Evelyn LOVES LOVES LOVES - did I say LOVES - the Disney movie Mary Poppins. She has learned how to sing the song "Lets Go Fly a Kite" from the movie and it's hilarious! My mom found a Mary Poppins and Bert doll and shipped them just in time for Evelyn's birthday today. A couple months before we moved into the new house, I found an art stand with a chalk board on one side and a white board on the other. We have been looking for art stands for a while and this was just perfect and I got it for practically nothing because it was used. So I snatched it up and couldn't wait for her birthday to give it to her! She loves it. She went right for the chalk to start coloring! SO FUN! Then we sang "Happy Birthday" and had some cake.

I can't believe my first baby is TWO. She is so smart and beautiful and we love her!

1...2...3EEEEEEE!!!!

Evelyn is hilarious - that's all I have to say! There are two things that have become a bed-time tradition at our house. One is to build a tent with blankets between the couch and a kitchen chair and the tent has to have a back door so that Evelyn can go in the front and out the back door while running in a circle around it only to go in and out again and again and again and again!! And every time she gets to the front door (blanket) of the tent she knocks on it and daddy (who is sitting under the blankets inside the tent) says "come in" and she high pitch giggles and runs in, but doesn't stay in, she goes straight out the back door to do it all over again.
The other is to be thrown in the air as high as possible while she counts us off..."1...2...3"...and then we throw her. She loves it and it's a great way to get her really, really tired!!! All this fun goes on for about an hour every single night!!!!!!!! I managed to get some great shots of this with her hair flying all over the place! LOVE IT!
