We have a standing tradition for the last four years to have a super bowl party with the nephews of the family. Once they turn 14, they get to come pig out at Uncle Gordon's house and watch the game with us on the big screen tv. It's been a fun tradition and I love my boys! We must have been so engaged with the game and funny commercials though...because after taking a few pics of the food...I didn't take ANY MORE PICTURES! AAAAHHH!
Oh well! This is who came - Adam, Spencer, Jared, Sam. This is who we missed - Drew and Jonathan. Drewsky is in Utah and Jonathan is serving a mission ... in Utah! The tradition began with these two boys and they were greatly missed. But BOY did they miss out on some good grubbin!
I have an AWESOME recipe for homemade pizza and we make a huge one and a bunch of mini deep dishes. We made our homemade fried potatoe chips and homemade ranch dip. We had homemade cookies, homemade salsa with chips, and loads of other goodies!!
Typically, I cheer for whatever the opposite team is that Gordon is cheering for - just to talk trash and make the game interesting for me. I love a good football game!!!
So it was the New England Patriots VS the New York Giants - I spoke up first and said that I was cheering for the Giants (hey, I like the Manning brothers ok!) but Gordon was also wanting the Giants to win, but we had to have a RIVAL between us so he got stuck with the Patriots (even though he secretly wanted the Giants). So GAME ON! It was a great game and did I mention I NEVER lose?? Yeah, well...THE GIANTS WON!!!!!!!! Victory! It was a great game and a great day and great food and great company!
