My cousin recently had her first baby girl and she lives in Texas and on Easter Sunday they blessed their baby girl in church. I very much wanted to be there and be apart of this special day so I took Bonnie to Texas for a few days. My oldest sister, Jen, also lives in Texas and I couldn't wait to see her and the girls (and Ken too!) so I stayed with my sister at her house and everyone got to meet Bonnie for the first time. My sister has 3 girls and it was adorable to see the girls interact with her and how much love they instantly had for each other! All of the girls loved on her and wanted to hold her and play with her - even Aunt Jen couldn't get enough!
Our parents also stayed at their house for the visit and here's a great shot of them with the girls!
(below) My niece, Macy who will be 12 at the end of this year! She is growing up way too fast!
We went to a local park that had a fishing pond and we went fishing! It's been a while since I fished, and even though we didn't catch any FISH, Macy managed to catch a snapping turtle and Ken had to pry the hook out of its mouth without being snapped at. It was a hot and gorgeous day outside! On a bathroom break, Jen was taking PJ potty and put me in charge of their beautiful and loving family dog and no sooner than the leash exchanged hands did Fiona escape out of her harness from me. AHHHH! The dog was FREE! All we could do was run after her (as fast as we could with little people in tow) and watch her run wildly across the entire park. Fiona ended up running all the way across the park to Ken (her doggy daddy) and sat there like a good girl. Escape artist!!
It was a great day!
After the park we went to Uncle Jerry's house to see family and we visited until after dark and had milkshakes and good food. I was able to see lots of family from the west coast that I hadn't seen in a while and everyone got to meet little Bonnie!!
Easter morning, we had time before church started to get some Easter eggs dyed, had a wonderful breakfast with my sister's homemade cinnamon rolls and she did Easter baskets for all of us!

After our wonderful Easter morning with the family, we headed up to Jerry's for a wonderful day of church and the baby blessing for Melanie and Jeffrey's little girl, Kinley Anne. Jerry and Bev were wonderful hosts and opened their beautiful home to so many people and we had a very yummy lunch/dinner with family and friends of the family.
